"A View from Afar is an exercise in everything from doomy, atmospheric soundscapes to hefty explosions of fury. Heavy but approachable - progressive without being overly showy. One of the stand-out post-metal albums of 2018 thus far."
"Below A Silent Sky are way more aggressive with their music and they create a fine amount of heavy progressive noises that will impress the most jaded of Post-Rock/Post-Metal fans. ...A View From Afar is a thrilling and brilliantly entertaining album and is essential listening if you're a fan of Post-Rock/Post-Metal music."
"They really put me in the Dunk! mood...Actually, all of the tracks on this album do that, that is why this is such a great album to lose oneself in. Of course I will recommend this to all post-whatever fans out there, no doubt about that."

This is a fine stoner/doom album in every way, except one - the vocals, which I disliked. It's the same three guys since Lemanis, on which the vocals were fine, so I'm not sure how they got off track here.
I'm a bit of a stickler about vocals, , and all too often this genre seems to combine awesome instrumentation with subpar vocals/lyrics - I'm looking at you, Pentagram (lyrics) and Sleep (vocals), and even Ozzy-era Sabbath on occasion. This album with Lemanis-style vocals would be awesome. reuben_sammitch
